Nakuru to host regional U13s in June

Cricket Kenya wishes to inform members of the press that we will be hosting the ACA/EA Under-13 Cricket Tournament in Nakuru in the month of June. The five day event will consist of teams from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda and will run from 4th to 8th June, 2009.

The Kenya team will be selected from both public and private schools at provincial level. This exercise is currently on going, with the provincial secretariats, development officers and coaches taking part.

Trail games took place in Nakuru last Friday 22nd May at Greensteds School and 6 boys were chosen to be considered in the National/Final selection.

Nairobi trials will be held at Aga Khan Sports Club on Thursday 28th May from 9am to 1pm, Saturday 30th May from 1pm to 4pm and on Monday 1st June 2009 from 9am to 1pm while those in Coast will take place at Burhani Sports Club on Saturday 30th May between 9am and 12:30pm.

To conclude, Cricket Kenya looks forward to seeing the media come and support our youngsters as they prepare to take on the rest of the region. We thank you for your continued efforts in promoting the game of cricket in Kenya.
