As mentioned in the last post, Kenyan opening batsmen Seren Waters has been rewarded for his Consistency with the Surrey Second XI this season receiving an emerging players contract with Surrey.

Mohammed Sheikh will resume his season this weekend playing First Grade in South Australia for the Payneham Duke's Cricket Club. It has been a while since we heard from Sheikh but his statistics for the past 2 seasons make for good reading.

20/20

Sheikh's 2009/10 season with Payneham gets underway on the 10th October.

Steve Tikolo has played a handy role in Southern Rocks match Verse Mashonaland Eagles in Zimbabwe's new look Logan Cup taking 2/59 and 3/23 with the ball. He made 11 in the first innings and was 38 not out at last report in the 2nd Innings with Southern Rocks chasing an improbable 459 for victory.

Finally, Amit Bhudia playing in London has been in sensational form for West Harrow Cricket Club with recent scores of 48*, 58*, 111* before finally being dismissed for 67 in his most recent match leaving his average at a healthy 284.00 admittedly with the help of three not outs.

Earlier in the season Amit had been playing for the Nelson Cricket Club where his scores were just as impressive: 62, 103 ,53 ,1 , 58, 0 , 86, 64 and 51. Very impressive figures from Amit Bhudia.

Hi Nick. Any news on Tanmay Mishra. I heard he was at University in India. What level of cricket is he playing over there and does he plan to return to playing for Kenya upon completion of his studies?
And is Maurice Odumbe playing club cricket in Kenya now his ban had expired?

Andrew, thanks for reading.
Will get back to you on Mishra. Not sure how much he is playing with studies.

Odumbe plays for Telca. So far he has had a couple of 3 wkt hauls but not yet done much with the bat. Still, not bad for a 40 year old, but unlikely to get him back into national squad contention.
