Day Night Cricket at SCLPSYL

SHREE CUTCHI LEVA PATEL SAMAJ YOUTH LEAGUE NAIROBI WILL BE HOSTING A DAY-NIGHT CRICKET MATCH (CRICKET KENYA CHAIRMAN’S XI VS NPCA SELECT XI) ON SATURDAY 12TH DECEMBER 2009 STARTING 3.15 PM.

SCLPS YOUTH LEAGUE WILL ALSO BE HOSTING CRICKET MATCHES UNDER LIGHTS AND NATURAL LIGHT FROM 10TH DECEMBER 2009 FOR ITS COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THE TEAMS SHALL BE NAMED UNDER A NATIVE VILLAGE IN INDIA AND THE TEAM MEMBERS SHALL BE FROM THE CURRENT NPCA LEAGUE.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT (NATIVE VILLAGE TEAMS)

 The tournament is “10 : 10” (T10) cricket i.e. 10 overs per team.
 The organizers shall provide the team shirt/t-shirt. All teams must be properly dressed.
 The organizers shall provide match balls. (Either new or used).
 Each team to provide own equipments i.e. bats, gloves, helmet etc. The organizers shall provide batting pads and wicket-keeping pads.
 All teams will be required to adhere strictly to the schedules to be provided; teams must be ready to play at the required start time. Teams arriving late will be penalized one batting over for every 5 minutes they are late.
 Teams bowling will be required to complete their allocated 10 overs within 40 minutes. The umpires will call the innings to an end after 40 minutes (at their sole discretion). Any uncompleted over will result in a penalty of 20 runs against the bowling team’s batting total. Any time wasting by batsman will be determined at the sole discretion of the umpires and will result in a 10 run penalty of the batting side’s total.
 All players bar wicket-keeper must bowl one over.
 Batsman must retire after scoring 25 runs.
 One batting power play over after the 5th over. Any runs scored in this particular over would be double i.e. (if a six is hit it would be counted as twelve runs).
 Normal rules of one day cricket shall apply.
 Umpires decision is final, any dissent or argument will be penalized.
 Taking of ALCOHOL, DRUGS & CHEWING OF MIRAA is strictly prohibited. Anyone found doing so will be ejected out of the Samaj premises.
 Samaj will not be held responsible for any of the injuries that may occur while playing.

THERE WOULD BE LOT OF FOOD STALLS (VEGETARIAN ONLY) AT AFFORDABLE PRICES & A REFRESHMENT COUNTER.
